Basin and Manderson make plans to welcome home First Lt. Krogman

The towns of Basin and Manderson will join in the welcome home planned for First Lieutenant Alva Ray Krogman on Monday, July 19.

In Basin the American Legion is providing small flags for people to wave as the procession comes through town. The time is estimated to be around 5 p.m.

The flags will be available at Basin Town Hall and the Basin Area Chamber. Those taking the flags are asked to return them.

The flags are used by the Legion to decorate the graves of veterans.

Mayor CJ Duncan anticipates fire trucks being along the main street to join in the salute.

The Basin Police Department will escort Krogman through town.

In Manderson, town council member Barbara Wall says the fire trucks will also be lined up.

The procession will leave U.S. Highway 16/20 to detour through the town and then return to the highway to continue the journey to Worland.

Hall encourages Manderson town residents to line the streets to show their respect.
