Lee Good

Lee was born on the family ranch between Devil’s Kitchen and Shell Creek on Jan. 7, 1936, the second daughter to Otto and Marguerite Herren Good. She never wanted to be anywhere else and once stated that the only way that she would ever leave is feet first. She got her way, as usual.

She was a strong and independent woman with a devilish grin and a twinkle in her eye. Capable of anything she laid her hands on, Lee did everything on the family ranch from field work to livestock. She excelled at animal husbandry and loved every minute of it. When she wasn’t working outside, she was an avid reader, knitted, crocheted, and was a talented artist. She would draw the pictures and sister Frankie would paint them. The family also grew a big garden and she did most of the canning, cooking, and baking in the later years when her mother no longer could.

Lee is survived by her sisters Wanda Bond and Frankie Good. Lee loved her dogs and they adored her. Loving homes are being found for them with the help of Holly Getzfried/Wyoming Pit Bull Post Rescue. Donations may be made in Lee’s name at Security State Bank or paypal.me/HollyAlonzo. Memorials may also be made to Ten Sleep Veterinary, 95 2nd St., Ten Sleep WY 82442, to help offset the cost of caring for the dogs.

Cremation has taken place at the Antelope Butte Crematory in Greybull. No formal services are planned. Arrangements are in the care of Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
