P.S. Osgood died from exposure on Monday. Mr Osgood left his home to go out in the country where his son Francis was at work. During the course of the trip, he was overtaken by a snow flurry.
Mr. and Mrs. Merle Prugh are the proud parents of an 8-pound boy born Thursday morning at the Highland home.

Barbara Berger was named valedictorian of the Class of 1945, while Elna Mae English was the salutatorian.
Mrs. L. A. McFarland received a telegram from the war department early last week stating that her son, T/Sgt. Willard S. Johnson of the U.S. Marines, was killed in action in the Pacific area. Willard completed his schooling in Greybull before enlisting in the Marines in Butte, Mont.
Robert Turner won the first place and the cash award of $5 in the VFW national essay contest.

Miss Dorothy Sanders was crowned queen of the Greybull High School junior prom. She was escorted to the throne by her escort, Robert Harvey.
Miss Vera Clark, senior at Greybull High School, has been awarded a $250 scholarship to Hastings College in Hastings, Neb.

County crews have been working all week, endeavoring to remove the carcasses of cattle apparently drowned in the river sometime last winter. An area resident discovered the cattle last week while on a boat trip down river. He was able to count 26 dead animals, several upstream from the Basin water plant.
