Allen Neal Ingersoll
April 20, 1957 – Nov. 6, 2022
Allen Neal Ingersoll was born in Red Lodge, Mont., on April 20, 1957, to Edward Henry and Joyce Renon. On Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, he took his final breath after overcoming many obstacles that came from a brain injury he sustained in May 2021.
Allen spent as much of his time outdoors as he could. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and ride around on his 4-wheeler. He was looking forward to retiring and finding a cabin on the mountain.
He was a proud father and an even prouder grandpa. He had many friends and would do just about anything for others. His smile was contagious, and he never did lose it. He showed us great strength.
Allen is survived by his brothers Ronnie Ingersoll and Jason Ingersoll; his three biological children: Trista (Brandon) Williams, Edwin Ingersoll, and William (Beth) Ingersoll, all from Greybull, Wyo. He also had three stepchildren, which he helped raise as if they were his own: Marvin (Carey) Harp of Sheridan, Sheila Manning of Casper, and Theresa Shumway also from Sheridan. He had 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jennifer Joyce, Melba Sue, Linda Kay Deaver and Jacqulin Marie Johnson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Grace Fellowship Church in Greybull, Wyo. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
