A full day of baseball is scheduled for this Saturday in Greybull. Formerly known as opening weekend, organizers are now calling it ‘Rally on the Diamond.’ Bring the family and watch games from youngsters playing T-ball to the experienced teenagers in the seniors division.
University of Wyoming graduate student Colton Farrow, a 2021 alumnus of Greybull High School, was recently named the Central Rocky Mountain Region runner-up in bareback riding.
The Greybull Majors baseball team hosted a double-header last Thursday evening against Powell to open their season for the South Big Horn Little League on Westerly Field, winning both games easily.
To wrap up their track and field season, Greybull Middle School took 16 competitors to the annual Best of the Best meet in Lander. A convergence of Wyoming middle school athletes – regardless of classification and with strict qualification standards–the meet was held on Tuesday, May 12.
Greybull High School’s track team competed at the Bobcat Invite this past Friday in Thermopolis. Competition was stiff with 24 teams attending. The 100-meter dash for example had 110 contenders in the boy’s division. The last meet before regionals, it is typically a large meet.
Greybull Middle Schoolers competed at the Big Horn Conference track meet last Saturday in Thermopolis. With 42 GMS athletes contending against 10 schools, it was the final regular track meet of the season with competition from 1A and 2A schools in the region.
