American Legion to lead Days of ‘49 parade

American Legion Post 32 will serve as grand marshal of the Greybull Days of ‘49 parade in honor of America’s 250th birthday. The Greybull post was established in 1921 and has 36 members, around 20 of which are expected to lead Saturday’s parade procession with three vehicles, including an old Willys Jeep borrowed from the Powell post, and a float.

Trade school coming to Town

During their regular monthly meeting Monday night, Greybull’s town council heard from investors of the Industrial Park who shared plans for a future trade school. Dubbing it Greybull Wyoming Community Trade School (GWCTS), initial plans revealed a budding collaboration between Northwest College and the Bright Block Initiative, a south Big Horn County housing nonprofit.

High speed chase on HWY 310 ends in arrest

A Montana woman was arrested by Wyoming Highway Patrol following a high-speed chase down Highway 310 on Monday, June 8. The Big Horn County jail roster lists Christina Smith, 41, as the potential subject, arrested on fleeing, interference, possession of a controlled substance in powder or crystalline form and DUI controlled substance.

First farmer’s market of the summer Saturday

Wyo-Ben invites public to celebrate 75th Anniversary

The public is invited to help celebrate the anniversary of its local mining company. A fifth-generation, family-owned company headquartered in Billings, Montana, the local Wyo-Ben’s Magnet Cove Plant in Greybull will be open to the community on Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
