Georgia Louise Yager

Feb. 14, 1934 – Nov. 3, 2022

Georgia Louise Yager passed peacefully at the Worland Healthcare and Rehab Center in Worland, Wyo., on Nov. 3, 2022, with her family at her side.

Georgia was born on Feb. 14, 1934, in Ringling, Mont., to Jim and Hazel Harden. She was the youngest of nine children. On Nov. 29, 1952, she married Walter Yager in Laurel, Mont., and became a farmer’s wife. To this union, two children were born. They lived in Laurel and Park City, Mont., before moving to Wyoming in 1968. Walt died in 2017.

Some of Georgia’s favorite things were flowers, especially roses, bountiful gardens, going on trips with Walt, gambling – always coming home with three times more money than she went with, cooking for her family and playing games with her family. She loved playing cribbage with her daughter and son-in-law, the Green Bay Packers, watching sports on TV, visiting and spending time with family including nieces and nephews. Georgia’s most favorite things were her grand-children and great-grandchildren. She loved each of them with all her heart.

Georgia is survived by her daughter, Karyn and her husband of Lovell, son Bob and his wife Tammy of Greybull; grand-children, Jennifer Lyytinen and her husband Eric of Billings, Dustin Yager of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Lisa Yager of Billings and granddog Suzie of Lovell; great grand-children Gavin Lyytinen, Emily Swander and Maycee Swander, and several nieces and nephews.

Georgia is preceded in death by her husband Walt, her parents and four brothers and four sisters.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned but a celebration of life will be planned later for both Georgia and Walt. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atwood Family Funeral Directors.
