Joyce Ann Gentry McCarrick

Joyce Ann Gentry McCarrick

Sept. 5, 1941– May 14, 2021

Join us in mourning Joyce McCarrick as she passed peacefully in the early morning of May 14, 2021, in the North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell.

Joyce was born on September 5, 1941, to Butch and Annabell Gentry in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the oldest of four siblings and was followed by brother Bub and sisters Donna and Diana Gentry.

Growing up as a teenager she loved to listen to rock and roll music. Before graduating high school at Wentzville High School in Missouri, she became the president of Elvis Presley’s Rock ‘N Roll Kats Fan Club. In 1960, she was invited to Graceland to crown Elvis as the King of Rock ‘N Roll. Over the years before Elvis died, she was invited back several times to meet with Elvis at the concerts she attended.

Shortly after graduating, she married Kenny Click, and they had three children together, Tina, HK and Liza Click. Racing hot rods, riding and repairing motorcycles and showing horses became the family’s pastimes.

In 1977, the family moved westward to Wyoming, where they made Lovell their new home. Joyce loved to hunt, fish and see all the sites Wyoming had to offer. The wild horse range and horses was one of her favorite places. She enjoyed walking in the hills and rock hunting all over the state. Joyce will be sorely missed by her family and friends for her big smile and contagious laugh.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Butch and Annabell Gentry, brother Bub and sister Donna Gentry.

She is survived by her children, Tina (Neal) Click, HK (Jackie) Click and Liza Click; grandchildren Aaron Fink, Kirra (Tim) Anderson and KC, Cody and Canon Click; great-grandchildren Ireeann, Dean, Kyndee and Tevin Anderson and Kenzie Click; sister Diana (Jim) Dougherty; nieces Angie (Mike) Patton and family and Jenna (Kenny) Davis and family; and nephew Nathan Wright and family.

As per her wishes there are no services planned.
