June Clifton passed away Oct. 21, 2023.
She was born June 21, 1937, in Newcastle, Wyo. to Harry and Violet Jerup. She graduated from high school in Greybull, Wyo., in 1955.
June and her family moved to Riverton in 1968 to pursue cosmetology school. She then moved back to Greybull where she owned her own hair salon for many years.
She married Bill Clifton on Feb. 7, 1976.
After June and Bill’s retirement, they moved to Billings, Mont., where they resided. She went to work for assisted living and nursing home facility hair salons, where she styled hair and made all her clients feel important and beautiful.  She decided to slow down and finally retire at the age of 85.
June’s passion was hosting family gatherings with the entire family clan which included all the trimming. The whole family loved going to Bill and June’s for the holidays, great food, great company and a lot of fun times.
June enjoyed watching the Denver Bronco games with their “group” of friends and with family. June was a diehard Bronco fan; she had the tennis shoes to prove it.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Violet Jerup; a sister, Joyce Ellison, and son-in-law Clell Cain.
She is survived by her husband Bill of 47 years; children Brett Ready and wife Teresa, Charla Cain, Angie Clifton and partner Bryce, Mary Clifton and partner Robbie, Lora Chism and husband Larry; brother Terry Jerup; sister Patty Tyrrell and husband Dave; brother-in-law Dale Ellison and sister-in-law Carol Clifton; grandchildren Nicholas Nolen, Nathan Nolen, Shaeleen Ready, Hank Ready, Kyra and Kyrie Montana, Jennifer, Richard and Jed Chism; great-grandchildren Ava, Trey and Adeline; several nieces and nephews and cousins near and dear to her heart, Mary Brazill and Bruce Brazill.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
