Loran Gene Workman, 70, of Casper passed away May 25, 2021, at home surrounded by family.

He was born April 20, 1951, the oldest son of Loran and Wanita (Elton) Workman.

Loran attended school in Lovell, graduating with the Class of ‘69. He worked with his father and brother at his father’s electrical business. In the early 80’s he relocated to Casper, continuing to run the family electrical business after his dad retired.

In 2014 Loran started raising cattle with his two sons Gene and Lonny, also his grandson Daniel.

In 2016 Loran was diagnosed with liver disease. He was full of life and care till the end.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and seeing the newborn calves in the springtime. He was well liked by many that knew him. He was a well-known contractor and friend. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his father, Loran (Donna); brothers Sam and Dawayne (Burt); sons Gene (Laura) and Lonny (Crystal); 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanita, brothers Lonny and Leonard and a sister, Diane.

He will be loved and missed, in everybody’s memory whose lives he touched.
