Parade, trick or treat, haunted houses and music make for fun-filled Halloween

It should be a fun Halloween with a full slate of activities that kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at the Greybull Elementary School, and winds down at a Haunted House Show with live music hosted by the Garay family at 725 S. Sixth St. at 8:30 p.m.Sandwiched in between are “Trick or Treat Main Street” hosted by the Greybull Area Chamber of Commerce from 4:30-6 p.m. and “Trunk or Treat” at Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home.The elementary school Halloween Parade will be held at the elementary school starting at 8:30 a.m. Parents and friends are advised with 235 elementary student, it is a good idea to get to the school a little early if you want to see the zany, funny, innovative costumes.The Greybull Area Chamber of Commerce would like to see main street packed with youngsters and their parents from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Greybull merchants are encouraged to decorate their businesses for Halloween and have a little fun by dressing up in costume while candy and/or prizes are doled out to small trick-or-treaters.Coinciding with the Greybull’s main street activities, Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home will be hold its annual “Trunk or Treat” from 4-6 p.m. in the parking lot at the home. In addition to the outside “Trunk or Treat” there will be some trick-or-treating going on inside the facility during the same two hours.In addition youngsters can enjoy the child-friendly haunted house set up in the north wing of the nursing home.Later Friday evening, those too old for trick-or-treating can enjoy the Haunted House show with live music hosted by the Garays. Two bands, Day by Day and Burdened by a Blessing, and Gerald Fulkerson will provide the music. It all starts at 8:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
