May 10, 1938 - Dec. 13, 2025

Pat Shepard, age 87, passed away in Spokane Dec. 13, 2025. She lived most of her life in Greybull, Wyo.

Patsy Ann was born May 10, 1938, to Anna (Bennett) and Archie Otis Hamilton. Patsy’s father passed away when she was an infant. She was raised by her mother Anna and stepfather, Robert Mason, of Greybull. Pat had one younger sister, Cindy.

As a child, Patsy enjoyed riding her bike and playing marbles with her cousins. She loved being in the outdoors which continued throughout her life. Pat attended Greybull schools.

Pat married Lawrence Felt in 1955. They had two sons, Larry and Robert, and a daughter, Robin, who passed away shortly after birth.

In 1961, Pat married Larry Shepard. They had children Thomas, Tracy, Terry and Ty. Thomas, Terry and Ty passed away shortly after birth. Pat and Larry raised their family in Greybull, where Larry was a long-time engineer for the Burlington Northern Railroad. Pat worked as a clerk at Ben Franklin’s and as a lunch lady for Greybull schools for years. Pat was known for her cinnamon rolls and homemade hamburger buns.

Pat was a wonderful mother and a doting grandmother to her four grandchildren. She loved creating crafts with the grandkids, taking them on trips, and spoiling them. She made them feel like they were the most important thing on her agenda when they visited her. Pat loved to laugh and never took herself too seriously. When the greatgrandkids were teenagers, they asked “Nona” to take them for rides in her orange VW bug.

Pat was a generous woman who always thought of others, including those in the Wyoming Retirement Center, where she often delivered homemade crafts and treats to the residents.

Pat was skilled at genealogy. She spent years researching her ancestors and even traveled to Scotland to meet some of the relatives she found. Pat enjoyed teaching others how to search out their own ancestors. She also enjoyed keeping a beautiful yard and garden. She decorated for the holidays and often placed in the annual Greybull Christmas decorating contest.

Pat loved watching sports. She was a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos, and also enjoyed Gonzaga basketball in her later years when she lived in Spokane with her son’s family.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; sons, Larry, Thomas and Ty; daughters, Robin and Terry; parents, Anna, Archie, and Robert. She is survived by her sister, Cindy (Ron) Voss; son, Robert (Sari) Shepard; daughter, Tracy Buechler; grandchildren, Maggie (Dan) Fechner; Robin (Brandon) Bischoff; RB Shepard; and Allie Buechler; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a family service is planned at the Greybull cemetery in the spring.
