Patricia Lynn Smith Greer

October 11, 1964 - March 17, 2026

Patricia Lynn Smith Greer, lovingly known as Trish, passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 61 in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Born on October 11, 1964, in Worland, Wyoming, Trish grew up in Greybull, Wyoming. She and her brother, Rod, were lovingly adopted by their parents, Eldon “Smitty” and Almetta Smith.

Smitty was the cornerstone of Trish’s life. He taught his daughter the value of hard work and guided her with unwavering love and wisdom. Trish was the proudest girl in the world to be her father’s daughter, and a hole was left in her heart when Smitty passed away.

Trish graduated from Greybull High School in 1983. That same year, she pursued one of her passions—barrel racing—and competed for the Days of 49 Rodeo Queen in Greybull. Riding her prize quarter horse, Billy Joe, she proudly earned the title, and also went on to represent as Greybull Days of 49 Queen at Cheyenne Frontier Days, a moment that reflected both her determination and her love for the Western way of life.

In 1985, Trish married James L. Moore of Worland, Wyoming. Together they welcomed their daughter, Danielle, and son, Travis. The couple later divorced. Trish later married Kirk Tolman in 1991, and together they had two sons, Coy and Raeth. Kirk and Trish later divorced.

A true free spirit and wanderer with a wild heart, Trish carried her love for the outdoors wherever life took her. Whether on the back of a horse or sitting on a porch enjoying the sunshine, she found joy in the beauty around her and in the company of those she loved most. She had a deep love for animals, a passion for cooking, and a special appreciation for 90’s country music, which often filled her home.

Trish was a hardworking woman who took great pride in keeping a tidy home. Her way of saying “I love you” was often through a home-cooked meal or a good-hearted joke that could lift anyone’s spirits. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and found true happiness in doing so.

Tiny but tough, Trish was spunky, friendly, and full of life. She balanced a tomboy spirit with a beautifully feminine heart and wasn’t afraid to show her silly side if it meant making someone smile.

Throughout her life, Trish held a variety of jobs, including working at Holly Sugar, the Worland Sale Barn, Washakie County School District #1, and the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, Wyoming. In her later years, she found joy working as a cook at Paradise Ranch outside of Buffalo, Wyoming and Seven J Outfitters in Sundance, Wyoming, where she combined her love for people and good food.

She is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Matt) Earl of Worland, Wyoming; her sons, Travis Moore of Sheridan, Wyoming, Coy Tolman of Boulder, Colorado, and Raeth Tolman of Cheyenne, Wyoming; her grandchildren, Jaden Earl and Marlee Earl of Worland, Wyoming, Rylee Moore and Tanner Moore of Sheridan, Wyoming; her brother, Rod (Kori) Smith, nieces, Makayla, Fayth, and Harmony of Billings, Montana and nephew, Kaleb of Laramie, Wyoming; her sister, Rebecca “Becky” Smith Wibbeler of Dallas, TX; her nieces, Tia Leah Wilson of Fort Mill, South Carolina and Kim Jordan of Dallas, TX; her stepbrothers, Dean Stockert of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Kavin (Melanie) Stockert of Greybull, Wyoming, and Bill (Kate) Stockert of Greeley, Colorado; her partner, Brian Rollins of Smithville, Mississippi; as well as numerous other family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon “Smitty” Smith; her mother, Almetta Adams; her stepmother, Sally Smith; her infant twin sister whom passed shortly after birth, and numerous other relatives.

A celebration of life will take place on May 9th at the Elks Lodge, 1pm in Greybull, Wyoming.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
