Police Report
July 28 — 5:56 p.m.: An officer assisted the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office near milepost 203 on U.S. Highway 16-20 South.
6:51 p.m.: A traffic stop near the dog park on U.S. Highway 14 resulted in a warning.
6:57 p.m.: A traffic stop near U.S. Highway 14 and Division Street resulted in in a warning.
8:15 p.m.: An officer assisted another agency near the intersection of Highway 310 and U.S. Highway 14-16-20.
July 29 — 3:49 p.m.: The GPD received a report of people in a Jeep Cherokee trying to scam people into buying gold bricks. At the time, they were near the grocery story. The responding officer was unable to locate them.
4:20 p.m.: An agency assist was provided on Second Avenue South.
6:37 p.m.: A traffic stop near U.S. Highway 14 and Division Street resulted in a citation.
July 30 — 12:;11 a.m.: An agency assist was provided on U.S. Highway 14.
9:07 a.m.: A traffic accident resulting in property damage on Greybull Avenue was investigated. The driver of a vehicle had turned too sharply and side-swiped a telephone pole. Damage was minor and there were no injuries or citations.
11:38 a.m.: The GPD received a report of a domestic animal problem on North Third Street.
5:04 p.m.: The GPD received a REDDI report about the driver of a vehicle on North Second Street who couldn’t keep his head up and was falling over in the driver’s seat.
5:57 p.m.: A domestic animal problem on North Third Street was reported.
6:02 p.m.: A domestic animal problem on Third Avenue North was reported.
6:40 p.m.: A traffic hazard on North Fourth Street was reported.
10:15 p.m.: An officer assisted another agency near Highway 20 and Road 26.
11:03 p.m.: The GPD received a report of dogs running loose at the county fairgrounds in Basin.
July 31 — 3:50 a.m.: An officer provided assistance on North Eighth Street.
9:06 a.m.: An officer helped TCT find a downed pole on Greybull Avenue.
9:24 a.m.: The GPD investigated a two-car accident near North Seventh Street and No Avenue South. One vehicle had been backed into another, resulting in scuffed bumper, but a report was requested. There were no injuries or citations.
5:15 p.m.: The GPD received a report of a dog running in and out of traffic on South Second Street.
7:41 p.m.: An officer performed community relations at the county fairgrounds in Basin.
Aug. 1 — 2:05 p.m.: The GPD received a report of a scam.
6:43 p.m.: A traffic stop at Road 26 resulted in a citation.
7:03 p.m.: A traffic stop near North Sixth Street and 13th Avenue North resulted in a warning.
9:37 p.m.: A traffic stop near Sixth Avenue North resulted in a warning.
10:04 p.m.: A traffic stop near South Fourth Street and Greybull Avenue resulted in a warning.
10:25 p.m.: A traffic stop on Greybull Avenue resulted in a citation.
Aug. 2 — 10:30 a.m.: The GPD received a report of an injured buck that was limping around on three legs on First Avenue North.
12:43 p.m.: A case of ammo was found on North Sixth Street and Seventh Avenue North.
5:34 p.m.: A traffic stop on U.S. Highway 14 and Division Street resulted in a warning.
7:08 p.m.: A traffic stop on 11th Avenue North resulted in a citation.
Aug. 3 — 12:27 a.m.: A traffic stop near South Sixth Street and Second Avenue South resulted in a warning.
6:27 p.m.: A traffic stop near Greybull Avenue and North Fourth Street resulted in a citation.

July 28 – 10:40 a.m.: Animal abuse was reported on Highway 30 in Burlington.
4:29 p.m.: A R.E.D.D.I report was made on a black passenger van with green and gray writing on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
4:57 p.m.: A citizen complaint was made on North Main Street in Burlington.
8:14 p.m.: Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist Park County on Highway 14/16/20 in Burlington.
July 29 – 10 a.m.: A citizen complained of heavy traffic on Orchard Bench Road in Basin and asked for an extra patrol.
10:20 a.m.: A call to a fire alarm at Three Rivers Health on Highway 20 in Basin was cancelled, test only.
10:34 a.m.: A 911 dispatch text was sent from West Ten Sleep Lake Trailhead regarding a wildfire on Forest Service Road 27 in Ten Sleep.
11:33 a.m.: A citizen complaint was taken on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
3:04 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highline Drive in Shell, officers were unable to locate.
3:04 p.m.: A traffic stop was made and a citation issued on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
3:28 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
4:13 p.m.: A traffic stop was conducted and a citation issued on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
5:05 p.m.: A traffic stop was conducted and a citation issued at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin.
5:12 p.m.: An animal problem was reported on First Street West in Otto.
9:33 p.m.: A domestic dispute was reported on South Eighth Street in Basin.
11:07 pm.: A traffic complaint was made on a white Ford Fusion on Lane 35 in Emblem, officers were unable to locate.
July 30 – 12:10 a.m.: Cars in the ditch off Greybull River Road in Greybull checked ok, their occupants were watching a meteor shower.
8:11 a.m.: A motorcycle accident caused by mud on Highway 31 in Manderson was reported.
8:11 a.m.: A cow was reported out on Highway 30 in Otto.
8:26 a.m.: An extra patrol was conducted on Orchard Bench Road in Basin.
9:48 a.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highway 20 South in Manderson.
10:19 a.m.: A traffic complaint of a semi speeding in the chip seal area was made on Highway 20 in Manderson.
11:33 a.m.: A traffic complaint was made at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin.
3:41 p.m.: A citizen reported a chip in their windshield to Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin.
6 p.m.: A foot patrol was conducted at Big Horn County Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue in Basin.
6:02 p.m.: A crash detection alarm was reported false on Bear Creek Road in Shell.
11:03 p.m.: Loose dogs were reported at Big Horn County Fairgrounds on Holdrege Avenue in Basin.

9:11 a.m.: An overdue hiker in the Cloud Peak area was reported at Battle Park on Forest Service Road 24 in Big Horn County.

9:41 a.m.: Officers assisted probation and parole at Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office on Murphy Street in Basin resulting in an adult arrest.
3:43 p.m.: An injured hawk was reported at Midway Golf Club on Golf Course Road in Basin.
4:15 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on a motorcycle passing unsafely on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
4:49 p.m.: A husky was reported missing on South Sixth Street in Greybull.
5:41 p.m.: A traffic complaint was made on Highway 30 in Otto.
9:07 p.m.: An officer checked on Stockman Bar’s dance at South Fourth Street in Basin.
11:18 p.m.: An extra patrol was conducted at the boat dock on East B Street in Basin.
Aug. 3 – 8:33 a.m.: A civil issue was reported on Highway 14/16/20 in Greybull.
6:19 p.m.: A caller reported their neighbor’s son was being aggressive on Greybull River Road in Greybull.
6:57 p.m.: Officers assisted a motorist on Highway 310 in Greybull.

Wacey Lane Craft of Basin was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 9:50 a.m. for two days regarding a probation violation.
