As a healthcare provider, I have spent my career striving to improve the quality of life for my patients. But lately, I don’t lie awake at night thinking about clinical diagnoses; instead, I lie awake sick with worry over the financial ruin of my patients at the hands of certain Medicare Advantage plans.

When I got up the other morning, I saw a small smattering of white on the deck. Took me a while to recognize it was snow. Been a long time since we’ve seen much of that. Not to worry. By 11, the snow was gone, the deck once again looked familiar and it was “springtime in the Rockies.”
