Enjoyed a trip to Cheyenne to watch the state cross country meet. It was held at Little America. The last time I saw Little America it was OUTSIDE of Cheyenne, down the Interstate.  That tells you how much Cheyenne has grown and also how long since I had been beyond what I considered a BIG city over a decade ago - or more.

The saying goes, “newer isn’t always better,” and while I typically tend to agree with that, newer might be better when it comes to glucose monitoring technology. In recent years we have seen rapid development and uptake of new types of glucometers, leaving fewer and fewer patients with diabetes using the old standby fingerstick method of blood sugar monitoring.

The seemingly unstoppable Elk Fire is nothing short of heartbreaking as the blaze continues to spread rapidly in rugged terrain and tinder dry timber on the eastern flank of our beautiful Bighorn National Forest while also pushing west at times nearly to Burgess Junction.
