‘Paint Like Bob Ross’ virtual fundraiser for PBS is Oct. 29
The Wyoming PBS Foundation is hosting a virtual fundraiser that celebrates renowned American artist Bob Ross and offers a night of painting fun for everyone, whether you are an experienced painter or picking up the brush for the first time.
The “Paint Like Bob Ross” will be held over Zoom at 6–9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, which is Bob Ross’ birthday. Participants will create their own masterpiece with step-by-step instruction from Nicholas Hankins, a Bob Ross Certified Instructor and host of the new how-to painting series, “The Joy of Painting with Nicholas Hankins: Bob Ross’ Unfinished Season.”
“As a statewide network, we are constantly seeking innovative ways to connect with our members across vast distances,” says WY PBS Foundation Executive Director, Judd Rogers. “This event offers a unique opportunity to engage our community through technology and a shared passion for art, bridging the gaps between our far-flung towns and uniting us as one collective Wyoming community.”
Tickets are $150 and include access to the Zoom webinar, instruction by Hankins, and an art kit with supplies needed to make your Bob Ross masterpiece—acrylic paint set, brushes, canvas and palette paper. To order, visit https://www.wyomingpbs.org. Ticket sales end Oct. 4. Funds raised from the event will go toward supporting Wyoming PBS programs.
