On C Street, a man named William Tillard suffered from a dislocated shoulder and several severe bruises caused by a runaway. He and his brother Cleveland were driving on C Street with a team and light buggy when the pin holding the double trees on the tongue came out and the horses ran away. Their vehicle was overturned just west of Mountain View. William was pitched out in front as the buggy turned over, while his brother Cleveland managed to escape without an apparent injury.
