Big Horn County experienced the largest unemployment rate decrease in the state between March and April, according to a report from the Research and Planning section of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services.
The county’s unemployment rate fell from 4.4% to 3.4%. Park and Washakie counties saw the second and third most significant declines, as Park’s unemployment rate dropped from 3.8% to 2.9% and Washakie’s fell from 4% to 3.2%.
At 3.4%, Big Horn County still had the second highest in the state, trailing only Sublette at 3.4%. Wyoming’s unemployment rate was 2.8%. The U.S unemployment rate was 3.9%.
