Wyoming Food Bank announces dates of mobile foot pantry distributions at fairgrounds
The Wyoming Food Bank’s mobile pantry distribution dates for May are May 11 and May 25. The location is the fairgrounds in Basin. It starts at 10 a.m. It is not income based.
It is on a first-come, first-serve basis until the food is gone.

Shell Rough Riders collecting items for Basin Area Food Pantry
 The Shell Rough Riders 4-H food drive to benefit the Basin Area Food Pantry started May 5 and will continue through June 9.
Donations may be dropped off at Basin’s Market, Lynn’s Superfoods, Basin Co-op, Old Shell Store and the BHC Extension Office.
Suggested items include rice, canned food, paper products, cooking oil, condiments, pasta, self-stable milk, toiletries and beans.

Average gas prices down slightly in Wyoming in the past week
CHEYENNE (WNE) — Average gasoline prices in Wyoming have fallen 2.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.27 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy.com’s survey of 494 stations in Wyoming.
Prices in Wyoming are unchanged versus a month ago, and stand 9.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the lowest price in the state Sunday was $2.82, while the highest was $3.96, a difference of $1.14 per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 1.9 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.63 on Monday. The national average is up 8.4 cents per gallon from a month ago, and stands 4.3 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data.Compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.9 cents in the last week and stands at $3.98 per gallon.

Garden club resets plant exchange
Due to weather conditions, the Wild Roses Garden Club’s annual plant exchange has been moved to Thursday, May 16 at 12:30 p.m. at the home of Frank and Bette Neal, 1448 Hwy 14.

On April 24, 2024, at 9:41 p.m., Dawson Robert Peterson was born to Shani and Christian Peterson of Burlington.
Dawson weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 21 inches. At home, he joins a sister, Kimber Peterson, aged 22 months.
