Electronic opener improves library accessibility

The weather is finally starting to change and you can definitely feel fall in the air! We had a good turnout for our book group discussion this past month and enjoyed the time visiting and discussing the different things we picked up from reading the latest book. With the holidays coming on the end of November and December, we will take a short break and start up again in January with book group. We should have the new book available the end of December, so you will be able to stop by and pick up a copy then.

The library and museum entrance has had an upgrade recently. The city made it handicap accessible by having an electronic opener installed. This has been very beneficial and makes it much easier to enter and exit the building. Whether you have your arms loaded, you’re on crutches or in a wheelchair, it is a wonderful asset. Many, many thanks to the Town of Greybull.

We had a good turnout for our pumpkin painting activity, with lots of artistic children showing off their talents. You can see their creations on our Facebook page. While waiting for the pumpkins to dry, we played several games and drew for prizes. And of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without handing out treats to everyone.

Just a reminder to check out the new program for your little ones and sign them up for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and pick up a packet for them at the library. You can find information about this on our website. Click on the Greybull Library tab and then the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten drop down tab.

Be sure to come in and stock up on your reading material for the Thanksgiving weekend, as we will be closed Thursday and Friday over the Thanksgiving holiday. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the food, family and fun as you snuggle up with a good book.
