With three individual champions, the Greybull-Riverside wrestling team punched above its weight at Saturday’s Worland Invitational, finishing fifth overall and outscoring big schools such as Riverton, Cody and Lovell.

G-R notched its best finish in the girls division.  Delta Craft, at 109-115, and Sophia Wilkinson, at 118-120, won their weight classes to lead the way while Kaislee Nyberg (115-126), Ryan Whisenant (98-106) and Tatum Triplett (70-74) each placed second.

Harper Juneau (132-138) and Jordan Potter (175-206) added third-place finishes.

It was the team’s second tournament of the season, coming on the heels of the Cody Invite where “our kids wrestled great,” said head coach Tim Eardley. “As coaches, we were happy with their effort and determination.

“We saw a lot of individual success whether it was winning first place or getting their first takedown. We’re excited about this season and are working hard to get better daily.”
