The Shell Community Hall’s Margaritaville fundraiser on Sept. 24 was a lot of fun. Kudos to the Shell Hall board for a great meal. Folks are so generous in providing unique items for the silent auction. If you missed it, watch for next year’s event and be sure to make it next September.
Congratulations to Carol Wiltse of Meeteetse who won $8,000 for having the winning tickets the Shell Valley Volunteer Fire Department’s 50/50 Raffle. The SVVFD’s $8,000 will be used to help our all-volunteer fire department meet operating expenses. Kudos to everyone who purchased tickets to help keep our firefighters and EMTs going.
The Shell Valley Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will holding its fourth annual online auction Sunday, Nov. 10 through Saturday, Nov. 16. It is a great opportunity to get some great gifts for Christmas or for yourself and you don’t have to leave home to bid. All funds will go to help the SVVFD.
The Shell Bar continues to operate on limited days and hours, so be sure to check their weekly schedules on Facebook. It has been a lot of fun to stop by and see the guest bartenders and visit with everyone there. They also have a food special on the nights they are open, so you won’t have to go home hungry.
I understand the welcome sign on the east side of Shell will be put up soon. The really cool thing is, each one is different.
