GBAC enjoys successful trip to state tournament

The Greybull-Basin Athletic Club concluded its season at the Wyoming Amateur Wrestling Association’s state tournament last weekend in Casper with two of its team members claiming state titles and nearly everyone winning at least one match.
Kaislee Nyberg and Maythe Garay produced the biggest wins for GBAC, capturing freestyle and folkstyle titles in their respective weight classes.  Nyberg wrestled in the 10-and-under girls division, Garay in the 12-and-under girls division.
GBAC entered 13 wrestlers in folkstyle, 12 in freestyle and four in Greco.  
WAWA FOLKSTYLE
8 AND UNDER BOYS — Hunter Frazier went 2-2, did not place at 53; Sawyer Hetzel went 2-2, did not place at 56.
10 AND UNDER BOYS — Leo Cheng went 1-2, did not place at 77.
12 AND UNDER BOYS — Kaysen Nyberg went 1-2, did not place at 77; Quaide Houchin went 0-2, did not place at 92.
14 AND UNDER BOYS — Marshall Brown went 1-2, did not place at 71; Noah Blakley went 0-2, did not place at 119.
16 AND UNDER BOYS  — Bennett Sanford went 2-2, did not place at 138.
10 AND UNDER GIRLS — Trinity Link went 2-2, did not place at 74; Kaislee Nyberg went 2-0, placed first at 90.
 12 AND UNDER GIRLS — Delta Craft went 2-2, did not place at 87; Ryan Whisenant went 1-2, placed third at 94; Maythe Garay went 2-2, placed first at 126.

12 AND UNDER BOYS — Kaysen Nyberg went 0-2, placed fifth at 70.
16 AND UNDER BOYS — Bennett Sanford went 1-1, placed second at 138.
10 AND UNDER GIRLS — Kaislee Nyberg went 1-1, placed second at 80-90.
12 AND UNDER GIRLS — Delta Craft went 0-2, placed second at 87.
