Greybull Basin Athletic Club wrestlers captured 10 titles across the Greco, freestyle and folkstyle divisions as they wrapped up their season at last weekend’s Wyoming Amateur Wrestling Association state tournament in Casper.

Tawny Bertolini won four while Delta Craft, Maythe Garay and Harper Juneau each claimed a pair for GBAC.  The team was credited with 76 points, good for eighth in the field.

Nathan Hetzel, one of the team’s coaches, called it “an outstanding season” for the USA wrestling program.  With 85 kids on the roster, it was “the largest group of wrestlers we’ve had in a long time,” Hetzel said. “Due to the impressive turnout, we had to restructure our practice schedule to accommodate everyone, which was a great problem to have.

“Throughout the season, our team competed in multiple local tournaments, earning both team and individual success.  We’re incredibly proud of all our wrestlers’ hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship.”
