The Region I History Day competition held March 12 couldn’t have gone better for Greybull’s middle and high school students.
In addition to earning first place in multiple categories, every one of them qualified for state competition April 29 in Laramie.
In the senior (high school) division, Jack Pharaoh’s exhibit on Wounded Knee won first place in individual documentary, while Juan Garcial-Padilla, Cord Edeler and Anthony Chacon took first in group website with “9/11: A Trigger for the War on Terror.”
GMS students made an even stronger impression in the junior division, placing in multiple categories.
In group website, Tell Edeler, Baron Eichelberger, Grey Wipplinger and Cruz Sorenson placed first with “The Battle of the Little Bighorn”; Joey Boyer and Ella Keisel placed second with “Elizabeth Blackwell” and Caitlyn Hunt and Ashlyn Chacon placed third with “Chemical Warfare (WWI).
