Greybull’s middle school girls basketball teams started their season with a home game against Thermopolis last week, followed by a matchup with Burlington. It was a rough go for the Buffs, with minimal practice time under their belt, and all three teams fell to their adversaries.

“I knew these two teams would be tough, and we have only had one practice with our whole team.  It was a good starting weekend to see what we look like as a team and what we need to work on for the next time we play them,” head coach Becky Eichelberger said.

Against Thermopolis, the A team lost 38-13, the B team 21-9 and the C team 38-13.

Versus Burlington, the A team lost 44-6, the B team 37-8 and the C team 28-21.

The Buffs will work to beef up their game before facing Riverside on the road after press time on Tuesday, followed by a game in Shoshoni on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 3:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

They’ll then host Lovell on Nov. 3 at 4:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. and Ten Sleep Nov. 4 at 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
