GMS netters look ahead to tourneys
Greybull Middle School’s A team will likely earn middle-of-the-pack seeding for its conference volleyball tournament set for Saturday in Basin.
The team sports a 4-5 record after losses last week to Thermopolis, 21-25, 25-20, 13-15, and Burlington, 11-25, 17-25.
The younger teams also took two on the chin, with the B losing to Thermopolis 18-25, 19-25, and to Burlington 6-25, 19-25, and the C, 22-25, 27-25, 7-15, and 19-25, 14-25, respectively.
“We have seen so much improvement at all levels,” said Coach Becky Eichelberger. “Serving has been more consistent, we have been able to set up the ball with options to hit, our blockers at the net are starting to read the ball and get some touches, and our diggers are hustling to keep the ball in play.
“We are excited to see how we finish up against some well developed teams.”
While the A team is in Basin, the B and C squads will cap the season with a jamboree in Shoshoni.
