A happy homecoming at GHS
Greybull High School’s homecoming celebration ended Friday in the coronation of Camila Acuna and Henri Maas and impressive wins by the football and volleyball teams.
Students and staff participated in dress-up days, lunchtime activities, a food drive that resulted in the collection of 447 items and the usual homecoming traditions including Buff Olympics, Powder Puff football, Buff Puff volleyball and the Burning of the G.
The junior class earned the most Spirit Week points, earning top honors in the float judging, winning the hall/locker decorating contest, collecting the most items for the food drive and showing best participation in dress-up days.
The seniors placed second overall, claiming victory in the Buff Olympics and runner-up in the float judging. Rounding out the Spirit Week points standings were the sophomores in third and the freshmen in fourth.
Daryl Shiplet and Holly Thomas won staff king and queen.
