JV Buffs routed in Ethete
Greybull’s junior varsity team couldn’t overcome a slow start Saturday in Ethete, falling to Wyoming Indian 66-40.
The Buffs actually outscored the Chiefs by three in the second and third quarters, but didn’t begin or end the game well.
Coach James Armel chalked it up to a case of the nerves. “For most of the players on the JV, it was the first time setting foot in Wyoming Indian’s gym, and for all of the players, it was the first time playing in the gym,” he said. “The team came out flat and combined with Wyoming Indian’s style of play, we fell to an early deficit.”
William Harlow led in points with 10 and rebounds with six while Rex Cooper and Clayton Didrickson each chipped in seven points.
