JV netters top Wind River
The Lady Buff JV netters had a happy Homecoming, with a 2-0 win over Wind River.
“This was a game I really challenged them to play to a high level and stay aggressive and I felt they did a great job of that,” coach Christine Armel said.
The Buffs went 25-4 and 25-14, a resounding W.
Josie Collingwood led on defense at the net; Armel noted she has hustled every game this season.
The volleyballers hosts two home matches this week, with Rocky Mountain to pay a visit Friday and Thermopolis on Saturday. Games will be at 5 p.m. for JV and 6 p.m. for varsity Friday; noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. Armel anticipated an exciting competition.
“I have high hopes for the girls, but we will have to be ready to work hard and earn every point,” Armel said. “The girls have had a very successful season so far and I am looking forward to their continued success in the next three matches.”
JV is facing the end of its season, with their final game on Oct. 24. Overall, including four tournament splits, they sit at 13-7 for the year.
