The Lady Buffs had a good opening weekend, but saved the best for the last when they took on Sundance and dominated in two sets, 21-17, 21-14.

“We only had one game Saturday, but it was a great one,” according to Coach Christine Armel. “They really fell into a groove with each other; everyone had a lot of consistency in their play.”

The annual season-opening tournament was held Friday and Saturday.

All of the Greybull JV games were played at Rocky Mountain High School.

In the opening rounds played Friday, it was a win sandwiched between two losses.

The girls opened with a tough Burlington team. The first set was a 13-21 loss, followed by a much closer set which the Buffs lost by a single point, 20-21.

The second match, with Bridger, Mont., was a much more satisfying match with Greybull outlasting Bridger, 21-13, 21-17.   The third game pitted the Buffs against the Tongue River Eagles, and it went the Eagles’ way, 20-21, 11-21.
