The Greybull Elks Lodge and American Legion Post 32 have announced plans for their third annual Easter egg hunt in the Greybull city park.  Open to kids ages 1 through 11, the hunt will take place Sunday, April 20 at 2 p.m.

Three separate hunts are planned. Kids 1 through 4 will lead it off at 2 p.m., followed by ages 5-7 at 2:10 p.m. and ages 8 through 11 at 2:20 p.m.

Sherri Wilkinson, one of the event’s organizers, said kids in each age group can win special prizes in addition to the usual candy-filled eggs.  The special prizes will be awarded to those who find the eight to 10 golden eggs in each hunt area. In each age level, the prizes include two bicycles, two fishing poles, sleeping bags, footballs, soccer balls, basketballs and Easter baskets.

The Elks, through a Hometown grant, and the Legion are again sponsoring the event.  Prior to their collaboration, the town went several years without an egg hunt following the dissolution of the local Lions club.
