Golf play one round at Midway, one at Green Hills in Worland

Several local golfers won net or gross recognition at the end of a two-day tournament hosted last weekend by Midway Golf Club and Green Hills Golf Club in Worland.
The 24 teams, competing in A and B flights, played an 18-hole round at Midway on Saturday before finishing up with 18 more at Green Hills on Sunday.
Donnie Bjorhus, head golf pro at Green Hills and the organizer of the Big Horn Basin Shootout, said it was the third year of involvement for Midway Golf.  Prior to that, Green Hills partnered with the course in Thermopolis.  “We’d love to get a few more teams from Midway to play (in the years to come),” he said.
Top honors in Flight A went to the team of Aaron Grosch and Jeff Vail, whose 131 was the low gross.  Second went to the team of Erika Cook and Coby Henderson, with a 141.
In the net, the top prize in Flight A went to Karsten and Randy Simmons with a 130, followed by Tom and Nancy Zierolf with a 132.
Turning to Flight B, Erin and Josh Craft had the low gross with a 160.
There was a tie for second, with the Michelle Rideout-Laura Sutherland entry and the Tom Roberts and TR Roberts Jr. entry posting matching 165.
In the net, first went to Rob Henry and Beth Voss and second to Samantha Keller and Sarah Novak with a 132.
