The fire department was called out about 2 o’clock Saturday morning to a fire in the Alamo Hotel. The alarm brought out not only the department, but a large number of citizens. The fire was on the inside ground floor and basement and was quickly brought under control.
The Midwest athletic field has been converted into a skating rink which is a source of much healthy amusement for both young and old skaters of the vicinity.
The air tank in the tinshop of Arlie Roberts, just back of this office, exploded Wednesday afternoon, scattering itself over the shop without damaging anything else.
