Mechanic to lead vehicle maintenance workshops
High school-aged students can learn vehicle basics by participating in a pair of no-cost weekend workshops offered by T.J. Lundberg, owner of Mountain Mechanic in Basin.
Topics will cover a variety of vehicle maintenance skills including changing a tire, jump starting a vehicle using jumper cables, changing the oil, checking various fluid levels and more.
Two sessions are planned — the Change a Tire workshop is Saturday, June 7 at 9 a.m., while the Change the Oil workshop is Saturday, June 21 at 9 a.m.
No tools are required, but wear appropriate clothing for working, close-toed shoes and be ready to get your hands dirty.
Stop by Mountain Mechanic, 607 S. Fourth St. in Basin, during business hours to sign up and sign the waiver. Parent or guardian consent is required if the student is 17 years old or younger.
