The Herb Asp Community Center in Greybull was filled with people who came for the Owen Kinane fundraiser Sunday night. Two-year-old Owen has leukemia and has been traveling with his dad Roman to Billings for chemotherapy.
The spaghetti dinner and silent auction was organized by Tera Sanchez. She also cooked the dinner. She estimates that nearly 150 people dined. Helping her in the kitchen were Willie Mumford, Pam and Cheyenne Oryall. Sanchez also gave props to her husband Tommy who did a great deal of the work for her. It was definitely a community effort as Sanchez borrowed a big warmer from her aunt and a huge pot from Deanna Skillman for the sauce.
Dozens of items were donated for the silent auction. The item that fetched the most was a safari hunt in South Africa.
