Newspapers announce early deadlines, printing plans

With Christmas Day and New Year’s Day falling on Wednesdays when the post offices will be closed, the Greybull Standard and Basin Republican Rustler have changed their deadlines and publication schedules for their next two issues.

Next week’s issue will be printed and mailed on Monday, Dec. 23, meaning papers should be on newsstands that evening and in the mailboxes of local subscribers on Christmas Eve. Deadlines for the Dec. 24 issue are noon today (Thursday, Dec. 19) for display and legal ads and noon Friday, Dec. 20 for news and classified ads.

Our New Year’s editions, meanwhile, will come out a day later than normal.  It will be printed on Thursday, Jan. 2, on newsstands that night and in local mailboxes Friday, Jan. 3.  Legal and display ads are needed by noon Monday, Dec. 30; news and classified ads by noon Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The offices of the Greybull Standard and Basin Republican Rustler will be closed Dec. 25 and 26 for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year’s.
