A peaceful Christmas to all
And you shall find the Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger...
Glad tidings of great joy were the words spoken.
This year has been raucous and loud; world troubles, protests, riots, name-calling...it seemed to never end.
Peace on earth, you say.
But regardless of the toils and trouble, the rage, the strikes, the uproar in cities, the name-calling, Christmas comes anyway.
How we respond to the mayhem, the harsh rhetoric, is entirely up to us.
If we want peace on earth, or peace in our lives despite the upheaval, it is up to each of us individually to decide how we are going to spend this Christmas. Bitter and divided? Or in sync with our neighbors and community? We can put aside any differences, reach hands across the gap, smile and be neighbors, forget any differences and make Christmas what it is supposed to be.
It is time to rejoice; to be thankful; to love one another; extend our hand to our neighbor; put aside any political biases we may have; to remember that “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior who is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”
We extend to our neighbors, our subscribers, our friends wherever they may reside, a warm and peaceful Christmas.
