Friends and family of the late Jeff Probst gave him a fitting sendoff Saturday at Midway, playing a round of golf and raising money for his favorite course before celebrating his remarkable life at a wake in his honor.
“Many memories of Jeff were shared,” said Lonnie Koch, a longtime Midway Golf Club member.
Probst, 87, died April 2, 2024, in Tucson, Ariz., with his wife and son at his side.
The tournament attracted 37 players.
First place went to the team of Billy Olson, Carl Olson, Casey Massey and Ray Frazier, which posted a score of 60.
In second, with a 64, was the team of Marty Storeim, Belinda Storeim, Jacob Storiem and Tristen McMillen.
The team of Jim Core, Steve Core, Tom Core and Ray Cline followed with a 65.
Tee prizes went to Belinda Storeim (longest drive), Mike Yeager (longest putt) and Marti Storeim (closest to the pin).
