Reaching Out

We’ve all seen a variation of the vignette before. Two guys are seated at a diner counter, silently sipping their coffee, waiting for their meals. One meal arrives and the guy asks the other, “Would you pass the ketchup?” The second man responds, “Sure. You like ketchup on your hash browns? I do, too.” And off they go, chatting away, sharing a meal of hash browns and ketchup, because one reached out to the other.
