Rodriguez joins 1,000 point club

Greybull High School senior Carlos Rodriguez joined the 1,000-point club during his team’s game against Burlington Friday night at the Big Horn Basin Hoops Classic.

A four-year starter, he finished the night with 31 points.

“When you look at what Carlos has accomplished over his four years, it’s very impressive,” said Coach Logan Burningham. “This year, we’ve seen a major jump in his overall play.  

“He’s starting to go one-on-one, beating defenders with the basketball.  The past few years, he’s benefited from a lot of off-ball stuff. Now he’s figured out the on-ball aspect.  Plus we put him at the top of our press, which is adding about eight to 10 points a night to his total.”
