Sixty-two junk cars go up in flame

Basin Volunteer Fire Department responded to a call at Andy’s Truck Parts on Lane 40 between Basin and Greybull on Thursday, May 28 at 11:25 a.m. Andy Dowling, the owner, reported he had been working on a vehicle; when he fired it up, sparks popped into the cheatgrass. He threw a few buckets of water on the flames, nearly dowsing them, but in the time it took him to grab a hose, the fire had grown.
