The Greybull Buff JV stands at 5-8 after splitting a pair of games over the weekend.
The Buffs opened the weekend with a 34-18 win over Rocky Mountain. Carter Jacobs paced the team with 12 points, followed by Cord Edeler with 10 and Rex Cooper with seven.
“It was good to get a win against Rocky,” said Coach James Armel. “They are always a well-coached team and their players run their system well.
“We had several players step up and help the team, as we dealt with injury, sickness and ineligibility.”
The Buffs came up short in their bid for a weekend sweep, losing a road game at Wind River, 61-52.
“Playing back-to-back games was tough with a larger number of players out,” said Armel. “I asked the main core to play many minutes and they could for about 3 1/2 quarters. We ran out of steam at the end and made several mistakes that led to the difference in the score.”
