Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday.  A time to reflect on the year past; no real decorating to do, gifts to buy, just a time to think about all the blessings that we are afforded just because we are lucky to be living in the most wonderful country of the world.
“Land of the Free and Home of the Brave” are more than just words to be mouthed; they describe the luxury we have, the privilege of living where those words are actually true.
 Never mind the pictures we see on the news; never mind the blather of discourse we hear coming out of the mouths of some of our politicians.
 Yes, our country is facing a host of serious problems, here and abroad. We seem to be derailed from the train of common sense. Too much one-upmanship, too much of considering compromise a word not to be mentioned aloud.
