Town makes progress on CIP, dispute with several landowners

The Greybull Town Council on July 8 inched closer to finalizing a new capital improvement plan and resolving their differences with a group of landowners who had threatened deannexation, but backtracked on a proposed zoning change for a residential neighborhood.
Cody Wyatt and Marcus Dufort of WWC Engineering presented a draft version of a capital improvement plan (CIP) at the June meeting.  They were back at Town Hall on July 8 to present an update of the CIP that incorporated input the council provided at a recent work session.
The town was awarded an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant of more than $45,000 last year to develop the CIP, which is planning document that ranks projects and slots them into a 10-year timeline.
