UW to offer Artificial Insemination Class for Cattle

The University of Wyoming Extension team will host an Artificial Insemination (AI) Class for Cattle from May 5–7, 2025, offering both classroom instruction and hands-on practicum for participants interested in expanding their cattle breeding knowledge and skills.

The classroom portion of the training will be held at the Annex in Lovell from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 5, and from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 6. The practical portion will take place at Jared Boardman’s facility in Frannie from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and continue 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.

The class fee is $100, and space is limited to 12 participants to ensure a quality hands-on experience. Checks should be made payable and mailed to to Big Horn County Extension,
