Greybull Police Report

Dec. 30 — 10:20 a.m.: A dog at large was reportedly roaming Railroad Avenue near the Big Horn Co-op.

Dec. 31 — 9:01 p.m.: A traffic stop at the Big Horn Co-op resulted in a warning.

Jan. 1 — 2:30 a.m.: An extra patrol was performed at the cemetery.

11:23 a.m.: A criminal trespass was  served on Seventh Avenue South.

6:13 p.m.: Police investigated a hit-and-run accident that resulted in damage to a vehicle on Sandy Row.

9:32 p.m.: A traffic stop on Sixth Avenue South resulted in a warning.

9:42 p.m.: A traffic stop on 13th Avenue North resulted in a warning.

Jan. 2 — 8:42 a.m.: A welfare check was performed at Valley Homes.

7:04 p.m.: A welfare check was performed at the Greybull Apartments.

9:44 p.m.: A traffic stop on South Second Street resulted in a warning.

Jan. 3 — 7:20 p.m.: A traffic stop on 10th Avenue North resulted in a warning.

11:01 p.m.: A welfare check was performed on North Third Street.

Jan. 4 — 2:22 p.m. A property damage accident near South Fourth Street and Second Avenue South was investigated.  A car had slid into a parked car.

11:38 p.m.: A business check was performed at the Maverik Country Store.

Sheriff’s Report

Dec. 30 — 6:37 a.m.: An accident in which a vehicle slid off the road was reported in Shell.

8:00 a.m.: Cameron Joseph Nielson, of Anchorage, AK, was arrested and sentenced serving time in Basin. 

8:47 a.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Manderson.

9:39 a.m.: A vehicle reportedly drove through a fence in Burlington.

2:20 p.m.: A REDDI report concerning a vehicle travelling through Manderson was received.

3:16 p.m.: Livestock was reportedly near the highway in Manderson.

4:29 p.m.: An abandoned 9-1-1 call was received in Basin.

8:11 p.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Basin. 

8:43 p.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Basin.

8:46 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported in Greybull.

Dec. 31 — 12:37 a.m.: A suspicious person was reported under the Big Horn River Bridge in Greybull.

8:29 a.m.: Deputies responded to a commercial fire alarm triggered in Basin.

11:35 a.m.: A lost animal was reported in Manderson.

12:15 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Greybull. A warning was issued.

12:29 p.m.: A rapid SOS ping was received from a device located in Shell.

12:56 p.m.: Deputies assisted the general public.

1:26 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Basin. A warning was issued.

1:31 p.m.: Deputies controlled traffic in Manderson.

4:10 p.m.: Deputies assisted a motorist in Greybull.

5:35 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Basin. A warning was issued.

5:37 p.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Basin.

6:05 p.m.: An accident with property damage was reported in Manderson.

5:19 p.m.: Livestock was reportedly on the highway in Burlington.

8:53 p.m.: Deputies assisted the general public in Basin.

9:28 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Basin. A warning was issued.

10:03 p.m.: Deputies made field contact with a subject in Greybull.

Jan. 2 — 8:19 a.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Emblem. A citation was issued.

11:51 a.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Basin.

2:30 p.m.: A VIN inspection occurred in Basin.

8:44 p.m.: A traffic hazard was reported in Greybull.

Jan. 3 — 8:20 a.m.: Damean Robert Acton, of Greybull, was arrested for violating his parole and defrauding a drug and alcohol screening test.

9:29 a.m.: A dog was reportedly found in Basin.

12:09 p.m.: Traffic control for a cattle drive was requested in Manderson.

2:59 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Manderson. A warning was issued.

3:04 p.m.: Deputies assisted another agency in Basin.

3:40 p.m.: Deputies assisted probation and parole officers in Basin.

3:46 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Greybull. A warning was issued.

6:35 p.m.: Deputies conducted a business check in Basin.

7:16 p.m.: Deputies initiated a traffic stop in Basin. A warning was issued.

9:40 a.m.: Over a dozen were reportedly on the railroad tracks in Basin.

10:04 a.m.: A female border collie with a pink collar was found in Emblem.

12:25 p.m.: Deputies assisted the general public in Manderson.

1:31 p.m.: The cows reportedly were still on the railroad tracks in Basin.

3:20 p.m.: A wounded golden eagle was reported in Burlington.

4:16 p.m.: Livestock was reportedly on the highway in Manderson. 

4:36 p.m.: Search and Rescue were called out for a vehicle stuck on the mountain in snow.

6:58 p.m.: An abandoned 9-1-1 call was received in Basin.

9:39 p.m.: A REDDI report concerning a vehicle travelling through Basin was received.

Jan. 5 — 12:40 p.m.: A motorist advised deputies that their personal vehicle had become disabled and was moved off the main roadway for safety.

6:15 p.m.: Two horses and a donkey were reportedly loose on the road in Otto.
