The UW Extension’s WY Walks program aims to connect community members, get people moving, and learn something new from an expert.
The next one on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., is an opportunity to walk the Otto Park with Scott Werbelow, local author of the “Son of a Poachers” series.
The spotlight shifts to Hot Springs State Park Saturday, Aug. 31. Chris Delay, the Hot Springs State Park superintendent, will present “Heat & History: Exploring the Secrets, Science, and Stories of the Hot Springs,” beginning at Washakie Shelter at 10 a.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, National Parks Rancher Christy Fleming and Buffalo Bill Center of the West archeologist Holly Gilbert will lead a guided tour of the Lockhart Ranch. Meet at the Big Horn Canyon National Recreation Center parking lot in Lovell at 10 a.m. and plan for half a day.
