October 12, 1942 – August 7, 2021

Jack Polster, 78, of Homer, Alaska, passed away Aug. 7, 2021. He was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Oct. 12, 1942, to James and Donna (Carmody) Polster. Jack proudly served in the Army’s 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper. Jack attended college in Logan, Utah where he earned a degree in forestry. Jack lived in Montana and Wyoming before settling in Homer, Alaska.

Nanette Ann (Kelsey) Lassiter was born to Earl and Judith Kelsey in Alma, Mich., on July 30, 1958. She was the third child of four.

Nanette moved to Wyoming in 1969 with her family and she grew up in Basin. She did not enjoy the cold winter weather. She moved to Arizona to live so she would have the sun and warmth. Nanette grew beautiful flowers and fashioned many flowerbeds at her homes.
